Beautiful Thanksgiving: Grace and Goodness
It’s almost here! Are you excited about the season to come, giddy with anticipation? Or are you anxious, worried about potential pitfalls? Or are you filled with dread?
Some combination of the above, depending the time of day, time of month, or who you spoke to last?
In the Take Up Community, we’ve been doing coaching sessions all year to prepare for a time such as this. The last two sessions have focused specifically on tricky situations that arise during the holidays. As I prepared an ebook for the workshops, I thought this one would be a good one to share. So, here’s your chance to peruse what we’ve got to offer. In this ebook, you’ll find guidance on:
Something and Some Place for Everyone: Different Temperaments in the Same Space
Boundaries and Bountiful Blessings
Prosecuting Perfectionism
Creating Meaningful Connections
Quick Notes on Planning and Preparing with Ease
Cooking for a Crowd
The Art of the Table: Setting, Serving, and Enjoying the Meal
What to Do with the Food?
It runs the gamut from tricky conversations to how to get everything hot and ready at the same time (but not everybody hot at the same time;-))
You can download it here and give it some thought before the fun begins.

In the past couple weeks, I’ve been so frustrated with how all of November seems to be Black Friday lately. Particularly on Instagram, where selling seems to be taking over, I’ve wanted to just tune out. The flip side of that, of course, is that I have affiliate obligations with companies I care about and they are entering the Black-Friday-for-weeks foray. How to not feed the frenzy and still offer you information on once-a-year discounts? Also, how to keep track of the deals I really do care about because my cart is ready and waiting.
I’m going to put it all here, where you can refer to it wearing your pjs and eating leftover pumpkin pie whenever it works for you.
I’m really excited about Primally Pure this year. In the summer, as Beautycounter stock dwindled in my closet, the girls and I bought some Primally Pure. Prior to this, there were several companies who sent me products, but nothing really made me want to invest. I kind of have a new personal policy about affiliate links: I consider it, then get something, and then if I like it well enough to purchase a refill, I tell you about it. I want the whole Primally Pure line. This is problematic because the commission is a small fraction of what I can earn elsewhere and I get the same discount you do. But this coming sale? Awesome discount. Here’s how it will work, for your planning purposes:
Starting 11/25 12:00 AM PST, you will be able to shop early and take 25% off until 11/26 11:59 PM PST. This will be the biggest discount they have running all week! Make sure to access the site here and to use the code: ELIZABETHF25 for 25% off.
On 11/28 - 12/2 you can continue to shop and take 20% off + free shipping sitewide. Please make sure to use this link and the code: UNWRAP20
Bundle up this sale! Primally Pure bundles will give you the best deals on the site! Stack the on-site discount with the bundled price for extra savings!
Support Small Business Saturday! The deodorants are amazing—clean, effective, fresh-smelling and practically perfect in every way. Shop all deodorants 25% off for the day on 11/30
Want guidance on which products are my favorites? Reply to this email and I’ll send you suggestions. I’ll probably chat about these on Instagram, too, if time permits. And I’ve saved some favorites to a highlight here. And in my cart right now?
Acne Bundle :: we have recently genuinely fallen in love with these products for hormonal skin. Love, love, love.
Soothing serum (just the best feel and the best smell—this is is aromatherapy in addition to really great skin care)
The most amazing antioxidant balm on the planet:: think Vitamin C product but so much more.
There’s so much more, but we can chat about those next week. Or send me an email and ask!
You know I love these products! I wait for the sales and then I stock up (and distribute among my adults children who are so very happy to have them). Here’s the scoop on this sale:
The sale begins here on November 26 at 11 AM Eastern Time and runs through December 2. You will get free shipping with the code <<Elizabeth>>
Here’s the way discounts work:
15% off if your purchase is $1-$100
20% off if your purchase is $101-$250
25% off + a free bag of probiotics if your purchase is more than $250.
I’m looking forward to a restock of Eggnog Protein and Peppermint Protein. And there is a new French Vanilla that is sweetened with monk fruit only, no stevia.
I don’t remember the last time I lit a scented candle. Most of them are absolutely toxic. But these are different, and I can’t wait!
There will be an opportunity to buy the new Thyroid Supplement—something to make your thyroid perk up. Since my thyroid is still very annoyed that it was in the radiation field 34 years ago, I’m looking forward to giving it this gift.
I will also re-up Creatine, Magnesium (absolutely necessary for sleep) and NAD+ (healthy aging + overall energy).
This is also where I stock up on tooth powder.
Beautycounter
And remember, Beautycounter is still offering its in-between sale. The discount is a deep 25% on the whole site, and you get free shipping for purchases of $50 or more. This event ends when this month ends. And I have no idea when Beautycounter will be back. So…
Green Compass
And, finally, there is Green Compass. I’ve been using these products since June. So, I have a very good idea of what I order as soon as it runs out. I can’t say enough good things about the medicinal mushroom products. Mind Bloom was created for focus and attention. It’s awesome; I absolutely love it. No more reaching for the right word or forgetting where the keys are, boy, does it help me to focus and get things done… Immune Bloom is THE BOMB! We take it daily, and if I feel the hint of something coming (virus, etc), I take several a day. I can feel the difference. These are food products, made from mushrooms and suited to every member of the family. I drink a very big glass of water with Green Compass Collagen in it every day in the early afternoon. It has the lovely effect of balancing my mood and helping me “just chill” a little, plus there are a lot more good hair days lately. I took the hemp jellies every day for about four months. Then, I decided I didn’t really want to take something so sugared. So I stopped. Big mistake. I don’t think I knew how much it was helping my mood and my sleep until I stopped taking it. Now, I’m taking the hemp flower extract instead of the jellies. Glad to be back on that particular wagon. I also keep the botanicals handy: pain relief, sleep assistance, and immune support. These travel well, and it’s good to have them at the ready. Fair warning, the sleep stuff tastes terrible (but if it’s 2 AM and you have it on your nightstand, it’s worth the grimace because you will go back to sleep). Oh, and the pain relief cream really does offer pain relief. I have used it liberally lately for a nagging hip pain. I’ll stop there, but I have tried every product Green Compass offers. Please ask; I’m so happy to help you come up with a plan and offer coaching as you tweak what works best for you.
That’s the round up for now. Ask away if I can help with anything at all. I’m so very grateful when you use my links. And I will certainly pop into Instagram to chat about these. See you there!
