Ponder this:

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—
in peace because they trust in you.

This is a bit circular. Those of steadfast mind He keeps in peace. A mind at peace is steadfast. We want peace. Christ is our peace and we rest peacefully when He is present within us. To pursue peace is to pursue Christ. A person who has this kind of peace is able to enjoy it even in the hardest of circumstances because it’s not rooted in what is happening to or around her. It’s rooted in the presence of our Lord. Ponder the presence of God. Think of something that is troubling you. Does the trouble grow as you think about it? Now, replace the troubling thought with the presence of God. Surrender that troubling thought and replace it with Jesus. Watch Him grow bigger.
